Service fees per hour
90min duration of this mandatory session. Billed at hourly rate.
A standard session is billed as 60mins, which includes 45-50min therapy time and the remaining time for preparation/clean up and documentation.
*Please note: Should you/your child require an extended session, or exceed the scheduled session by 15min or more, additional charges will apply at a pro-rata hourly rate.
Any necessary time spent on your child's therapeutic development outside of the direct sessions will be charged at the pro-rata hourly rate. Examples include phone calls/emails over 15 minutes, resource development, letters/reports, care team meetings, travel to/from community-based appointments
We accept referrals under the Better Access Initiative for eligible children and parents/caregivers. Please see the rebate information below for further details.
We recommend contacting Playful Minds Therapy to check current availability before obtaining a referral from your GP, as there may be waiting times.

Rate is stipulated by NDIS for clients that have been pre-approved for this government funding.

Medicare Rebates - Medicare rebates are available for mental health services provided by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker for individuals with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. Rebates apply to up to 10 sessions per calendar year under the Better Access Initiative, and a GP referral is required.
For children accessing support under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Medicare allows up to two of these rebated sessions to be attended by a parent or caregiver without the child present (where this supports the child's treatment).
Where ongoing parent support is recommended, parents or caregivers may wish to discuss their own eligibility for a Mental Health Treatment Plan with their GP.
Private Health Insurance Rebates - some funds offer rebates for services provided by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Please enquire with your specific fund for more information.
Therapy services may be accessible through various third-party funding sources.
Funding bodies, such as Child Protection, Victims of Crime, community organisations, or other funding services, are welcome to contact Playful Minds Therapy to discuss individualised therapy plans that align with a child's support needs and funding available.
