Child-centred, trauma-informed therapy supporting children and families to connect, heal and thrive.

Tiffany’s journey to founding Playful Minds Therapy is grounded in a deep commitment to supporting children’s emotional wellbeing. Driven by a desire to make a lasting difference, she is dedicated to helping children navigate challenges, heal from difficult experiences, strengthen connections with the important adults in their lives, and develop a strong, resilient sense of self.
When she decided to start her own practice, it was important to create a space where children could feel safe, seen and understood, and where relationships could be nurtured and strengthened. Witnessing the growth, healing and positive change that emerges when children and families are supported in this way continues to be one of the most meaningful and rewarding aspects of her work.

At Playful Minds Therapy, Tiffany offers play-based, trauma-informed therapy for children aged 2–10 years and their families.
Tiffany specialises in childhood trauma and mental health, with a strong understanding of how early experiences, attachment relationships, and developmental factors shape the developing brain and nervous system. She recognises that these influence a child's emotional regulation, behaviour, relationships, development, and emerging sense of self.
Children grow and heal within the context of their most important relationships. For this reason, parents and caregivers are active participants in the therapeutic process. Through child-focused parent support, collaborative reflection, and ongoing consultation, we work together to build understanding, strengthen connection, and support meaningful change beyond the therapy room.

Depending on the needs of each unique child and family, support may focus on parents and caregivers, the parent-child relationship, the child directly, or a combination of these approaches.
Services offered include child-focused parent support, child play therapy, and parent-child play therapy. Together, these services help strengthen connection, communication, co-regulation, and understanding, while supporting parents and caregivers to build confidence in responding to their child's needs.
For children engaging in direct therapy, play provides a developmentally responsive way for children to express themselves, explore emotions, process experiences, build regulation, and strengthen resilience.
Play therapy is widely recognised for supporting children across a range of challenges, including trauma, grief and loss, major life transitions, mental health and developmental difficulties, and emotional and behavioural concerns.
